Weil der Anfang der Selbständigkeit in Deutschland nicht schwer ist, sondern unübersichtlich. Jede Stelle kennt ihren Teil und keine den ganzen Weg. Because starting out self-employed in Germany is not hard, it is confusing. Every office knows its part and none of them knows the whole road.
Ich habe in neun Monaten mit dem Gewerbeamt, dem Finanzamt, zwei Kammern, der Agentur für Arbeit, dem Gesundheitsamt, der Berufsgenossenschaft, fünf Banken, einer Anwältin und einer Steuerberaterin gesprochen. Manche Anrufe haben in zehn Minuten mehr gebracht als drei Abende Recherche. Andere waren umsonst. Ich habe beides aufgeschrieben. Over nine months I talked to the trade office, the tax office, two chambers, the employment agency, the health office, the accident insurer, five banks, a lawyer and a tax adviser. Some calls achieved more in ten minutes than three evenings of research. Others were wasted. I wrote both down.

Ich glaube, dass ich der beste Partner bin, den man für den Start haben kann. Nicht, weil ich alles weiß, sondern weil Marketing und Technik neun Jahre lang mein Beruf waren und ich die Gründung gerade selbst hinter mir habe.
